Also, if you are entered
in the 1500 but not planning on swimming it, we have 6 swimmers
on a waiting list hoping to get into the event. Please let me know

November 18th
Dear Swimmers,
It is with regret that
I have to announce that the TYR Grand Prix - Louisville will be
cancelled this year. We have been unable to secure enough officials
to conduct the meet.
For those that entered
online, your credit card will be credited with $40 on Thursday,
November 19th. For those that entered by mail, your entry will be
returned to you in Thursday's mail. Again, we regret this cancellation.
In my 10 years of running events this is the first time this has
occurred.
For those going to the
TYR Grand Prix - Chicago, our officials and timers have already
been secured so this problem will not occur there.
The next meet at the
University of Louisville is scheduled for March 7th. If you have
any questions, please call me at (941) 387-4490.
Sincerely,
Mark Gill

Swim Suits
The FINA Masters Committee
has recommended that the FINA Bureau, meeting in mid-January, approve
its recommendation that Masters swimmers be governed by the same
swimsuit rules as the elite pool swimmers. If the Bureau approves
the committee's recommendation, it is anticipated it would go into
effect after the Bureau meeting. If this recommendation becomes
policy with the FINA Bureau, USMS will implement it for our sanctioned
swim meets.
For the time being and
until the FINA Bureau issues its policy for Masters, the June 1,
2009 ruling that allowed technical suits in USMS swim meets is still
in effect.
If you would like more
information on purchasing technical suits, you may contact your
swimsuit dealer or TYR at www.TYR.com
